Course Outline

This course aims to develop students understanding of mathematics and mathematical processes. Students should develop their ability to reason logically and recognise incorrect reasoning, to generalise and to construct mathematical proofs. Mathematical skills and techniques will be extended and used in more difficult unstructured problems and situations from ‘real world’ problems will be represented mathematically allowing the opportunity for these mathematical models to be refined and improved.
