I am thrilled to join Safa Community School as a Year 5 teacher. Having spent the last four years in Abu Dhabi, I am now embarking on a new chapter in my life here in Dubai. I have always been passionate about education, and I am excited to share my knowledge and experiences with all of you.

About Me

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy staying active by participating in various sporting activities. I also have a knack for solving jigsaw puzzles, which I find both challenging and rewarding. Spending quality time with my family and friends is something I truly cherish. This year marks my 22nd year working in the field of education, and I can honestly say that it has been a fulfilling journey so far. I grew up in a town called Leigh, which is located in Manchester, UK. My childhood home consisted of my loving mother, father, and an older sister. I am also lucky to have a beautiful niece and nephew who bring so much joy to my life. I absolutely love lasagne, but without mushrooms! The colour blue brings me a sense of calm and tranquillity, and there’s nothing quite as refreshing as sipping on ice-cold lemon water. If I ever want to brighten my day, yellow flowers always do the trick. I am eagerly looking forward to meeting each and every one of you and embarking on this exciting learning journey together. We will have an incredible year of growth, exploration, and fun. Let’s make it a memorable one!

My Experience

I bring with me a wealth of experience in the field of education. With a Diploma in Childcare and Education, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development and Learning and a Qualified Teaching Status, I have had the privilege of teaching in various grade levels, including FS2, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 5 and Year 6. Throughout my teaching career, I have also taken on significant leadership roles such as Head of Year, Inclusion Manager, Special Needs Coordinator, and Safeguarding Deputy Lead. These positions have provided me with valuable insights and skills in supporting the diverse needs of students and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. I am passionate about fostering each child’s individual growth and development, and I am committed to creating a positive and engaging classroom experience for all. I look forward to being a Year 5 class teacher, and together, we can make this a remarkable year of learning and discovery!
