Welcome to 2LL! My name is Mrs Luukas and I come from Belfast, Northern Ireland. I have lived in many different cities, including Madrid, Liverpool and London. I love travelling to new places and experiencing everything that those places have to offer. One of my most treasured memories from my travels so far is white water rafting in the stunning Canadian Rockies.
I am a keen reader, therefore one of my absolute favourite things to do is to curl up with a good book on the sofa with my cat, Tilly. I also enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes. I am very much looking forward to embarking on our Year 2 journey together, and the exciting year ahead.
In 2012, I was awarded my Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education from Liverpool Hope University. I then spent two years teaching Year 2 in the London borough of Hackney. I moved to Dubai in 2014 and gained seven years experience of teaching Year 1. In 2021, I happily returned to teaching Year 2. My teaching philosophy is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. I strive to create a safe and purposeful atmosphere in which my students can achieve their full potential.
