Hello, I am Sally and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Head of FS2 at Safa Community School this academic year. It is with great excitement that I take on this new role, and I am eager to get to know each and every one of you, as well as your children. My passion for early childhood education has always been rooted in the belief that children learn best through play, exploration and interest and it is through this that children are able to engage with and make sense of the world around them. I am committed to creating a learning environment where children can thrive and grow and where their natural curiosity and love of learning are encouraged and nurtured.
I am originally from a small town in England I and decided to take on the opportunity to move to Dubai two years ago. Since then, I have been incredibly grateful to call this amazing country my home and I appreciate the wonderful and unique experiences that Dubai has to offer.
When I am not in school, I enjoy taking my puppy Mylo for long walks in the cooler months. I also really enjoy yoga and spending time with friends. I love to travel to new and exciting countries, which also makes Dubai such a fantastic place to live.
This year will be my first year at SCS and I am very excited to join such an incredible Foundation Stage team. I have a breadth of experience in education and this year will be my fifth year teaching in the Early Years department and my eleventh year as an Early Years Practitioner. For the last year, I have been in the role of Assistant Head of FS2 and FS2 Class Teacher in a very large school in Dubai. Previous to this, I was a Foundation Stage and Year 1 Teacher for two years and the Design Technology Leader for Primary School at a large public school in North West, England. I completed my teacher training in England where I received my PGCE and QTS qualification along with a degree in Early Childhood Studies. My passion lies within the Early Years and the love and dedication that I have has given me a deep understanding of how important these early years are in a child’s life. I am really excited to meet your children and be a part of their early years journey.
