Hello, I’m Stephen Edwards and I am part of the History Department at SCS.
I am originally from south-west London and have always known that I wanted to explore what other international cities have to offer; I have been lucky to be able to visit many places. This has led me to join the SCS team. I am looking forward to moving to Dubai and discovering what it has to offer!
I am passionate about finding out about the past and joining the dots of history to understand the present, and our roles as global citizens, in it.
I have been teaching since 2018, after completing my degree and PGCE at the University of Hull. I have taught a range of Humanities subjects including; History, Geography, Classics and Social Studies. Since 2021, I have been Second of Humanities Faculty and History Subject Lead at a UK school where I led whole-school campaigns and driven strategies for improving attainment at GCSE. I’m especially passionate about European and American modern history and can’t wait to join the History Department at SCS.
