Hi everyone, my name is Miss Abi Welton and this is my second year here at SCS. I am so excited to meet and welcome you into Year 4!
I am from a place called Essex, nestled right next to the bustling city of London. After three years of teaching in the UK, I embarked on an exciting journey to the city of Dubai and I’m now beginning my third year here! Time really does fly when you’re having fun. Beyond the classroom, you’ll find me reading in the sun, walking along the beach or attending a yoga class. You may also hear me talking about Miss Mabel – she’s my beloved rescue cat.
I am extremely proud to have completed a school-centered Initial Teacher Training where I gained my PGCE with the University of East London. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught across both key stages and believe children learn best when they are happy, settled and able to take ownership of their learning. Well-being for children is my passion and I recently qualified in children’s yoga which I love teaching. I am so excited to meet you all and be a part of your learning journey.
