My name is Hannah Lunt and I am from a small village just outside of Cardiff in South Wales. I am a teacher of Geography, Head of Year 13 and sustainability lead at Safa Community School. I have been teaching Geography for the past 5 years, starting my career in England and then moving to Dubai.
I graduated from Swansea University with a degree in Geography and completed my teaching diploma at the University of Birmingham. I am an avid reader, spending most of my free time with my head in a book. I have a PADI diving open water qualification and fully make the most of living in a country with some excellent dive sites. Naturally as a Geography teacher I am passionate about travelling and have been lucky to visit many different countries. After graduating from university I spent a year living and teaching in China.
I have been teaching for seven years. I completed my PGDipEd at the University of Birmingham and spent my first two years teaching in a school in Birmingham. Whilst in the UK I developed a house system and led as Head of Zodiac House. I moved to Dubai as a teacher of Geography and Assisstant Head of House and then secured the position of Head of House. Since moving to Safa I have a variety of opportunities including Head of MSC and Head of Geography. I am passionate about building a safe environment for students learning and teaching them about a sustainable future.
