My name is Joshua Blanche and this is my 6th year teaching Mathematics in Dubai following two years teaching in South Wales. Prior to this I graduated from Exeter University with a BSc in Mathematics.
After completing 3 years work in the financial sector, I made the career change to Teaching and have never looked back. I went on to complete my PGCE at Cardiff University before working at a challenging Comprehensive school in South Wales.
I could not be more excited about my second year at SAFA with the new and exciting challenges that come with it.
At SAFA I will be teaching Mathematics across all year groups. My previous experience has seen me lead KS3 Mathematics and I thrive in leading Maths challenge groups.
Outside of the classroom I am a sports fanatic and I enjoy playing football and generally keeping fit. I hope to share the experiences I have gained in sport with the students at the ECA programme.Last year in Dubai, I ran my first half Marathon and I am hoping to take part in a lot more running events in the UAE.
