My name is Kate and I am looking forward to working with yourself and your child next year in 2KO for this academic year at SCS.
I am from the sunny south-east of Ireland (a little town called Kilmeaden, famous for its cheese) and have being enjoying Dubai life for many years now. Whilst living in Dubai, I have had the privilege of working with people from many different nationalities, backgrounds and cultures. I have spent my summers traveling the world and discovering new places with friends and family. During my weekends in Dubai, I love to play sports and explore this magnificent country that we are so lucky to live in.
In 2013 I graduated from Sunderland University with my PGCE. Prior to this I studied ‘Early Childhood Education’ as my undergraduate degree. I lived in the North East of England and taught in a small primary school there before moving to Dubai. During my time teaching, I spent the majority of them teaching in Year 1- 3. It is a privilege to be part of the Safa family and work with this wonderful team and community school. As a teacher I strive to create a safe learning environment which stimulates and builds on student’s curiosity and interests, whilst encouraging children to become inquisitive learners and risk takers. I am looking forward to meeting you and supporting your child through their journey in Year 2.
