I have been teaching Secondary Mathematics since 2013. I am from Liverpool, UK and I have been with the Safa family since 2020.
Teaching was always my childhood dream and I believe it is a vocation which I thoroughly enjoy. To help students have a thirst and love of mathematics allows me to have a positive relationship with them and this is one of the main things I love about Safa. I have a Mathematics Degree (BSc Hons) from the University of Liverpool and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics which I achieved through the Teach First Programme. I also have the National Professional Qualification of Middle Leadership and currently completed the National Professional Qualification of Senior Leadership. Outside of the classroom I enjoy playing Netball, going to the gym, reading, spending time with family and friends, travelling, and enjoying the sunshine.
In my previous schools, I have had many different leadership roles. I have been Head of House, Assistant Director of Need (in charge of more able students), Head of Key Stage 4 Mathematics and my current role of Lead Practitioner of Mathematics. I love Teaching and Learning and being innovative in my teaching of Mathematics. I love teaching all aspects of Mathematics, but especially the Pure topics of A Level. Here at Safa, I have had the roles of Head of Key Stage 4 and 5 Mathematics and am now thoroughly enjoying my role as Head of Mathematics.
