Since joining Safa Community School in September 2020 I have enjoyed offering therapeutic interventions for our students, parents and staff. I love being part of the Safa Community and being able to watch the students grow and flourish. I have a strong passion for early intervention, and I believe that the community feel here at Safa has such a positive effect on all of us due to the support available. I endeavour to be friendly, approachable, and trustworthy for everyone that I see in my role here at the school. Additionally, I believe I have an important role to play in helping each child reach their individual potential emotionally and socially.
My name is Lucinda Hutchins, I am originally from Kent in England and moved to Dubai in 2020 with my family. I have three children, all of which are students here at Safa. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring the Emirates.
I am a qualified and registered, integrative counsellor and am fortunate that I have been able to pursue my passion as a career. I have a multi-disciplined background and am able to integrate numerous therapies into my work including person centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. I have prior experience counselling and supporting children and young adults both inside and outside of the school setting. To ensure my proficiency I attend regular clinical supervision groups and also undergo regular CPD.
