Lucy Allport

Deputy Head of Year 11 & MAGT Coordinator | Psychology Teacher

My name is Lucy Allport and I am from South Yorkshire in England. I have been teaching in Dubai since 2020 and I joined Safa Community School in 2022 as a Psychology Teacher. I am excited to be Deputy Head of Year 10 and 11.

About Me

I graduated from the University of St Andrews with a degree in Psychology. Following this, I completed a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics at Sheffield Hallam University. I am approachable and considerate to all I come into contact with, I always remain positive, thrive on a challenge and aspire to create supportive and conductive teaching environments which promote responsibility for learning. During my spare time, I love to swim, travel, spend time with friends and enjoy the sunshine. I have a passion for trying new activities and I recently went surfing in Sri Lanka and began taking golf lessons!

My Experience

After qualifying as a full time teacher in 2018 I have had teaching experience in schools both in the UK and internationally here in the UAE. I joined Safa Community School as a Psychology teacher in August 2022, moving from another school here in Dubai, and I have experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4, and AQA GCSE and A Level Psychology. This will be my third year teaching at Safa Community School and I am really looking forward to the new challenges and experiences that are to come.
