Mark Tiley
Assistant Headteacher Year 1 & 2
My name is Mark Tiley and I am very proud to be a part of the Safa family as Assistant Head Teacher. I am originally from a small, seaside town called Margate in the southeast of England and have been living in Dubai since 2014. I always wanted to be a teacher from a young age and gained a degree in Primary Education from The University of Roehampton, London.
About Me
I love living in Dubai and enjoy the many things it has to offer. The vast array of nationalities and cultures that Dubai offers is very important to me and I feel exceptionally lucky to be able to work with people from across the globe. Outside of work, I enjoy playing hockey, going running and spending time with my family and friends. I am a very positive, open-minded person and I am extremely passionate about the education of children and ensuring that they reach their full potential.
My Experience
Having worked in Primary schools in the UK and Dubai, I have developed a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills that I can apply in my role. My leadership experience includes Assistant Head and Assistant Principal roles with a focus on Wellbeing and also Learning and Teaching. I have a passion for supporting the learning journey of students and believe that our role is to ensure we create inspired, resilient and reflective lifelong learners. I very much enjoy working with the staff, students and parents at Safa to ensure that all pupils feel valued and thrive both academically and in their lives beyond school.
