This is my 5th year at Safa Community School. I am an enthusiastic and passionate art educator aiming to inspire creativity and self-expression within a supportive setting. My classroom is a welcoming, fun and nurturing place where curiosity thrives and children are free to explore different media and techniques, inspired by a range of artists. Through playful exploration and hands-on activities, we focus on developing children’s fine motor skills, imaginative thinking and building confidence.
I was born in the USA but grew up in London, England. I adore travelling and exploring different cultures; I speak Spanish and have lived in Puerto Rico, Chile and Mexico. I love spending time with my family outdoors in the UAE and also enjoy yoga and paddleboarding. Visiting museums and galleries around the world is a passion of mine, and I also enjoy drawing and painting with watercolours and pastels.
I graduated from the University of Bristol with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Art History and Spanish. I have also obtained a PGCE from the University of Sunderland. I started my career in museum and gallery education in London, since then I have worked for organizations in the UAE such as Art Dubai, the JamJar and Beitfann Art Studio. I have also taught English as an Additional Language. I joined SCS in 2020 and have worked in both Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1.
