My name is Michael Davies, and I am originally from South Wales. I was awarded my PGCE and BSc Hons in Geography and Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Gloucestershire.
Alongside my passion for teaching, I am a very keen sportsman. I enjoy strength and conditioning training alongside a desire to improve as a cyclist.
I am committed to working with staff and students at SCS to bring out the best in each individual. My role is to ensure that everyone exceeds their potential.
I moved to the UAE in 2016, having undertaken a wide variety of leadership roles in England and Wales. This allowed me to work with students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
I joined Safa in 2018, moving over from the International Baccalaureate system here in the UAE. I have held previous roles as an examiner, moderator and standards verifier with the UK examination boards.
I am continually looking at how I can enrich the facilities, curriculum, and resources at SCS to ensure our students have the best possible offering.
I have been awarded my National Professional Qualification for Headship from the Centre for Educational Leadership (UCL).
