My name is Rebecca McNamara and I am a very proud to have been part of Safa family since 2020. I am the Assistant Head of Years 5 & 6 and my role is to provide the best pastoral care and support for all of our students.
About Me
Since joining SCS in 2020, I have been lucky enough to work in KS2 and develop my skills through various leadership roles. I have always been passionate about the wellbeing of our students and ensure this is at the centre of everything I do. I consider myself to be a very adaptable, approachable and positive person, who loves new challenges. I strive to ensure that every child achieves their full potential, by providing the highest quality of teaching, learning and pastoral support. I am passionate about education and I continuously develop my skills through professional development and further studies. With a passion for holistic education, I believe in the importance of wellbeing to create a positive, thriving educational environment. I am looking forward to building on strong relationships within our community and watching our students flourish and succeed. I love working alongside our students, parents and teachers in order to create a happy, safe and caring environment for all of our Safa learners.
My Experience
I have been very lucky to develop my leadership experience at Safa through the position of Head of Year 6. Along with Head of Year, I was also a senior leader and Sustainability Lead which has allowed me to work with staff and students across the primary phase to develop curriculum and my role as a pastoral leader. Over the past number of years, I have continued to further expand my professional development in the areas of wellbeing, safeguarding and mental health and I am currently studying to complete my Masters in Education with Pedagogy.
