My name is Will Fraser and I have taught History, Geography and ICT for the last 29 years!
I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Middle Eastern History followed by a postgraduate degree in Secondary Education. Most of my teaching career was spent in schools in Essex both as a classroom teacher as well as Head of Department. I moved to the UAE in 2009 and have worked in Jeddah, Cairo, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and now in Dubai. In my spare time I enjoy cycling, reading and training our french bulldog puppy! I am married and have a daughter who is a PE teacher in the UK.
I joined Safa Community School in 2016 as a member of the Senior Leader Team managing all the assessments, reports and data within the secondary school. I also teach KS3 history and geography. Before joining Safa Community School I worked for 18 years in the UK as a Head of Department. In 2009 I moved to the UAE working for GEMS Education as an Advisor in Government Schools across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. In 2012 I was appointed as the Vice Principal of GEMS Winchester School in Dubai. In 2014 I moved to Saudi Arabia and became the Principal of GEMS World Academy in King Abdullah Economic City, just outside of Jeddah and stayed there for 2 years before returning to Dubai to join Safa.
