I have completed a BSc in Psychology in Liverpool John Moores University; I then went onto complete a PGCSE in Psychology at Edge Hill University in 2011 and finally I completed my NPQSL in 2021. I had taught in an inner city Liverpool school in the UK for 5 years before moving to Dubai in 2016 and have been here since then.
Due to the subject of Psychology, the majority of my teaching experience is related to GCSE and A-Level students, this has allowed myself to be involved with running student leadership, complete UCAS references and being head of house. I am very competitive so love to be involved in whole school completions. Throughout my teaching career I have had a plethora of roles which has allowed me to share my love of learning using a variety of platforms. I recently was a guest speaker at a global education conference on how to use technology effective in the classroom. I achieved my NPQSL at UCL university in 2021.
I joined Safa Community School in 2021 and in 2023 I undertook the role of Senior Leader of Learning and Teaching. Before this I fulfilled the role of Head of Psychology here at Safa and was responsible for the teaching and learning of all Psychology students, with a key focus on innovation and the digital classroom. Before coming to Dubai I worked in an inner city school in Liverpool, England. Here I had the opportunity to work with students from a variety of backgrounds and gained invaluable experience. I have also worked as an examiner and marked psychology papers. Most recently I have completed a NPQSL into the field of SEN and the adapted curriculum and graduated UCL in July 2021.
