Hello, my name is Louise and I am really excited to join the Safa Community as Assistant Principal.
I graduated with a degree in History from the University of Sheffield in 2003 and headed back to my hometown of Liverpool to complete my teacher training, gaining QTS in 2004. From the moment I began my career in teaching I knew this was the profession for me. I love working with young people and feel genuinely privileged to be part of their learning journey. Outside of school and work I have two young boys who keep me busy and I love to read, travel and eat!
I began my teaching career in North West London, teaching History and later becoming Head of Department. In 2008, I decided to make the move to international teaching and have since lived and worked in Dubai. During this time I have been a Head of Sixth Form, Assistant Headteacher and Deputy Head in two very successful British curriculum schools. I completed my NPQH in 2021 and have experience of both school leadership and the unique context of education within Dubai.
