Hello, my name is Maritza Carrillo. I’m from Mexicali, México, one of the hottest cities in the world. I taught in México for 14 years before moving to Dubai in 2019. I come from a family of proud teachers and school educators who influenced me to follow in their footsteps.
One of my favourite hobbies is dancing. I attended lessons and used to help teach and create choreographies. I’m also a fan of sports, and I play for a softball team in Dubai. I enjoy travelling and discovering new places, and I also enjoy watching tv shows and movies at home.
I have a language teaching bachelor degree, a master’s and a doctor’s degree in Education. I teach Spanish MFL and Spanish Mother Tongue in Safa Community School. It makes me very happy to continue teaching and creating fun activities where children can learn and develop language skills for the future. I feel grateful to teach my native language and to be part of a fantastic community.
