Saarah Usman
My name is Saarah Usman and I’m very excited to be a part of the Inclusion team at Safa Community School.

About Me

I relocated to Dubai in 2015 with my husband and two children. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here, spending weekends and holidays exploring the various Emirates. I have always been passionate about teaching and firmly believe that educators play a crucial role in providing students with the academic skills necessary for success, as well as instilling values such as resilience, confidence, kindness, and respect.

My Experience

I started my teaching career by volunteering at my child’s school in Toronto, Canada, in 2012. After relocating to Dubai, I completed my CELTA and began teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) at a GEMS school for two years. In 2020, I earned my PGCEi from the University of Nottingham and continued working as an ELL Specialist within various Inclusion teams at schools across Dubai. It has been incredibly rewarding to witness students overcome their language barriers and excel in their studies. I am dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can reach their full potential.
