Since joining the Safa Family in September 2021, I lead Inclusion across Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. I liaise with school teams, parents and the students themselves to help identify areas of needs and establish supports and interventions. I really enjoy getting to know the children and working with them to further enhance their school experience.
I am delighted to be working on the diverse and experienced Inclusion Team in Safa. My entire teaching career has focused on the inclusion of children with additional needs and differences. I am thoroughly committed to supporting all learners meet their potential and reach their goals. When not in school, I am kept busy with my young family and my studies.
Before moving to Dubai four years ago with my family, I worked in the largest special school in Ireland. I taught there for fifteen years, across all phases with children aged three to eighteen. During this time I also completed a post graduate diploma and a Masters Degree in Special Education. I am currently completing a research PhD study, looking at school based provision for children’s sensory differences.
